Kleber Who?

A wise person once told me “No one is born knowing.” That person happens to be my mother. It’s what drives me to continually learn and be aware of all things around me. That phrase will stick with me for the rest of my life. Hence the reason for this blog – to learn and share.

I’m a designer and I’ve been in this business a long time. Putting words and images together to form the perfect message isn’t always easy and it doesn’t always work out. I struggle with it day in and day out, but I love it. I can’t imagine doing anything different. (Well, maybe I can.)

We’re surrounded by design. The chair or bed you’re sitting on, the fork you eat with, even that local ugly car wash flyer they slap on your windshield every now and then. Someone, somewhere, got their creative juices flowing and put pen to paper (or stylus to tablet) and designed it. I’ve been fortunate enough to meet and learn from some of the great designers and art directors such as Ivan Chermayeff, Lou Dorfsman, Ed Benguiat, Seymour Chwast, Henry Wolf, Milton Glaser and many more. I was a just a kid then, but they all affected the way I see things in the design world. I know I will continue to design and hopefully, I will affect you in the same way to continue to seek out and learn more.

But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
